Northern New York Doe
« on: October 17, 2015, 11:42:00 PM »
I just couldn't wait until our season opens here in Mass on Monday (10/19) so I took the day off Friday and drove 6 hours north to western upstate NY and by 6 pm had a big thick doe on the ground.

I was in a beautiful stand and she came in like you would dream about. I only had an 18 yard semi-quartering toward shot, and sent a 200 grain Grizzly Instinct through her shoulder, lungs and top of her heart and into the dirt. She only went 30 yards.

Shooting my Zipper SXT #52 with a 200 grain Grizzly Instinct 3 blade, It went through her scapula like butter.

Hunting alone it is always hard for me to take good pictures.
