We are trying to get information on one of our guys (Charles Irling Smith) that has passed away. All we know now is that in '69 he was a Capt and was Guns leader and XO of C Troop. He retired as COL and passed away in 2000. We are looking for anyone that served with him anywhere and anytime to get some biographical information.
I didn't know him personally as he was commissioned in '66 and I wasn't until '73, but I am pretty sure that he was from Lampasas.
