Easton 500 carbons, deal or not?

A local shop has Easton 500 carbons, I think spined for 45-60lbs, for 3 bucks each on clearance.  Standard black, full length,  and fletched with plastic vanes, which I can remove and refletch.
Are these good shafts?  And recommendations for 47lb and 53 lb bows?
Deal or no deal?

oyea, 400's r a bit stiff,yet the fly very well outta my 47lber,
i bet the 500's would be better.

I draw 27 and shoot 28" axis 500 out of my boxs(52-56lbs). 100 grain insert and 250 grain fp and bh and fly great. 600 gr total

Depends just which carbons! If they're the Lightspeeds, they're very light & quite fragile. If they're the Axis, get 'em bought!

As above, it really depends on what they are.Easton has arrows that range from under $50 a dozen to over $350 per dozen.You have to know what you are buying to see if it is a good price.

Light weight, yes.  Quite fragile, not from my experience.  Been shooting them for 3 years now for 3D.  Can't say I've had any issues with them.  Great shaft, IMO.

Good Deal?  Depends on the shaft.  The least expensive Easton shaft I've found online is the Powerbolt.  It runs around $3.50 per shaft.  The epics a little over $4 and the axis and redlines, from $6 to over $7 per shaft.

I went back and bought a dozen.  I can't find any info on them, but I bet they are the bottom of the line model.
They are Easton Carbon Storm 500 , and have 40/55 on them.  Ugly black.  But we'll see how they shoot.
