Foam core recommendation
« on: April 07, 2018, 09:51:36 PM »
Can anyone recommend a foam core product and source? I'm looking for something in 3/8 thickness that can be shaped like wood (with sanding or rasps)

Does this sound like anything you know of?

Thanks.

Dose foam core match it’s wood counter part?
Meaning it you use say .90 with a .002 taper is foam core equal to wood with match numbers?

It can be ground to match a wood lam both parallel and tapered but as far as performance is concerned I have no idea.  If you call OMC they probably have more information.

I had seen what OMC offers but it's over $60 shipped for two limbs worth and isn't offered in the thickness I need (would need lamination).
