Laminated bow risers and wood glue
« on: April 09, 2018, 04:10:52 PM »
Does anyone here use titebond 3 to glue the pieces of their risers together on laminated bows? Obviously I would stick with smooth on for the limbs but I have a lot of titebond around and I was thinking of gluing a riser up with it. Any reason I shouldn't? Thanks

Titebond 1,2,or 3 all begin to break loose at about 150 F.  Wouldn't survive a trip through the laminating oven.  Use Smooth On.

On my first lam bow I used wood glue for the riser. Broke loose as soon as I got it strung.
