I own 7 Hill style bows, five from HHA and two from Northern Mist. I like them all, and they perform similarly. They are smooth and quiet. All but one are bamboo. The exception is my NM Shelton, which is made of yew. I think it may draw just a bit more smoothly than the others. All these bows are really good performers. I own recurves, and r/d longbows, but all I shoot now is the Hill style bow.
I use only wooden arrows. Most are cedar, but I also like Douglas Fir. Hill bows and wooden arrows seem to be just a natural match. I f you are asking specifically about Northern Mist bows, I will solidly recommend them. They are good looking bows that perform excellently. Also, Steve is a great guy to deal with
