Target reading

Shot this target today about 100 plus arrows and I think that the arrows are to stiff any knowledgeable  opinions appreciated.New ILF BB first time tuning carbons. Thanks for your help,Gary .

29 inch 550 carbon ones plastic vanes 352 grs. 110 point weight ,26.5 dl ,42 .lb dw, shooting saker one tab ,right handed. Spigarilli BB 25" riser , with RC wood limbs,8125g endless loop string.

Not bad for 20 yards.  All but a few of them are in the scoring rings.  I notice a preponderance of hits on the right side of the target.  It could, of course, be arrow tuning, but since all the shots are spread out more or less evenly, I suspect form issues.  If it were tuning, I would expect to see more of a grouping of arrows someplace, if not in the center of the target.  A form error that could cause regular distribution of arrows on the right side of the target is creeping.  Creeping is where you lose back tension as you release the shot because you haven’t learned to separate the relaxation of the fingers from the relaxation of the back. You should maintain back tension until the arrow clears the bow as a part of your follow through.  Of course, it’s hard to reach this conclusion just from looking at holes in a target, but it is a possibility.  To check to see if you are creeping, have someone watch you shoot and see of the arrow moves forward just before you release the shot, or video yourself to look for the same thing.

I will keep a look out for that today when I shot after  church of coarse. Maybe I stay @ it to long and should put my efforts into each shot being as prefect as I can make it. Think that I will turn practice into a 300 round game and better evaluate my accuracy and stop aimlessly LOL shooting. Thanks for your thoughts Gary

100 arrows is a lot of shooting.

The majority of holes seem to be a little right and high.

Maybe 60R/40L. That would be a slightly weak arrow for rh shooter.

Or form from shooting so many arrows.

But for 20 yards, the target isn't bad.

I would bare shaft test your arrows at about 8 yards and judge from those results.

Shoot a couple bare shafts and a couple fletched shafts and compare where the bare shafts hit compared to the fletched shafts..

    Well after a couple week ends and some afternoon tuning I think I'm starting to see the light. I changed spine from 550 to a 810 and they respond to tuning efforts a whole lot better.Put the bow on a DW scale and the DW was about 3 .lbs different than advertised. The 810's are chronographed @ 196 ft. ps and shoot pretty flat. Its tough getting use to that speed my gaps are off the charts compared to my 160 Wesley @ 160 with a back wind.

You know I just got fed up with this  bow one minute you shooting okay and the next it's like shooting a shotgun all over the place. So after a rest period and collecting my thoughts I decided to cut up to a .5 inch off the shaft. Well it did stop the kick off the flipper rest and they fly straighter but still will not group consistently. The gaps are unreal shooting split finger.So I had another epiphany, I went three under the lower nock, beats aiming  low all the time and it brought the shaft closer to my line of vision. Aiming at the top of the target face which is more accurate for me than twenty inches below the the target face. It is shooting better but you just cannot stack them. Adding weight will only make the Carbon Ones weaker. So I'm changing to Carbon Express and starting over.I went from a 55 co to the 810.
