Great photos and great story.
Jeff: I am also in the "old man bow" group with 43@29.... What are your arrow specs? Maybe I can learn a trick or two on making my light bow more deadly. I am currently shooting 11-12 GPP and experimenting with single bevel heads and high FOC.

smokin joe,
I'm shooting Gold Tip Entradas cut to 29" with 200-225gr...pulling 28" and they fly great. Not the strongest arrow but I guess you give some of that up with a lighter bow. I had Big Jim send me some 600 arrows to try and these flew the best for me.
