So here's the story. We found a group of boar feeding on the edge of a field we made our stalk up the woodline had to circle back in the woods to get the wind in our favor. We finally got up to the field edge behind a couple of old trees that were big to keep us hidden. The boar I was after kept coming down to feed he would stare at us then go back up the field with another small group, he knew something was up. I made a small quiet slow stalk to the left side and up he had others blocking him so he was in the middle. The other pigs moved and he opened up broadside and I let it fly he was about 20 yards I assume. I saw the arrow fly I hit him a little high and back then I wanted but still got lungs. Well these things are tuff I see the arrow stuck in him like a target he does a circle and that adrenaline started in him he ran down the field we tried cutting him off that didn't happen off to the woods he went. We started tracking him not Alot of blood was mostly internal following little drops here and there. My arrow remained in him for a good ways so it was cutting him as he was moving. We found my broken arrow in a thick brush area on a game trail. Kept following blood he crossed a mall Creek kept looking little drops of blood it was now getting late so we had to back out. We came back in morning and grid searched the property with 6 other people nothing no boar. I was really getting concerned and didn't be think we would find him I was very upset having a wounded animal out there. I was determined and not going to give up. Well I found another drop of blood on other side of Creek and noticed he verred right but we continued to look straight nothing no hog. So it was around 3pm and we said heck let's check that thick stuff on other side of Creed where I found arrow. So we did three ppl climbing all over blown down trees looking in tunnels you name it we did it. We jumped three more hogs and I looked to my right though t I seen something in a hole of a blowndown. The other guy was on top of the logpile we found him at the same time in a tunnel. Turns out where my arrow was the boar went in the brush pile there he double backed on his blood trail and didn't Kno he went in there. There he was we found him it was extremely emotional experience I will never forget. All the hard work paid off. The arrow half emwas still in him poking out other side. I got about 14 inches of penetration which I expected Alot more. Shoot 54 lb Bob Lee 30 inch 400 spine goldtip arrow with 100 grain insert and 150 grain Magnus stinger head. I am hooked for sure. Thanks everyone for all your help with form questions and so in. You are what gives traditional bow hunting a fun enjoyable hobbies. I did she'd a few tears
