So I ordered some pre finished shafts from 3 rivers. Got them in today and am pretty excited. I am waiting on my feathersbut have my ferlite, duco and field tips and nocks. This looks pretty simple but that usually how i mess stuff up so do you guys have any tips before I start glueing and messing things up.

Good alignment of both nock and point is paramount. Most guys run into trouble because they put a dab of glue on the taper and just push on the nock or point. That can result in point or nock that's out of alignment. Twist them on so the glue is spread evenly and you'll have little trouble with the alignment.
Do a dry run with your fletching. Double check your clamp angle and make sure you have the same wing clamp and feather.
With a shaft in the fletcher put the clamp in place and lightly run a pencil mark down the length of the clamp. It will show you how much the clamp angles and you can make adjustments before you glue anything... there should be at least some angle to the fletch.
Check the clamp with a feather in place to make sure that both the tail and the tip of the feather have good contact with the shaft.
Use a paper towel and solvent of some type (acetone or lacquer thinner) and clean out the points so you get a good bond. There will be residual oil in the points from the machining process.
