62" Stickflinger
« on: June 28, 2018, 03:57:58 PM »
I have a question for you Tall Tines Stickflinger guys.....I draw 30", would a 62" Stickflinger be the length to go with. Have several of Brian's recurves but I've never shot one of his Stickflinger's. Shot one of his Tundra's in 64" down in Kalamzoo the first year he came out with them and it was perfect at 30". I've heard with his R/D limb design you can go a little shorter. Any thoughts or advise?

Pat will be along shortly!! He has an impressive collection of stickflingers and has a long draw!  :biglaugh:

have had a couple recurve from Brian that were both 60" and liked them.  But on the Stickflinger I went with a 62". I like it. A lot. I draw about twenty eight inches with it.

i have a 60" and a 62". the 60" is a newer bow and the limb tapers look slightly different. i swear that the 60" feels as smooth or smoother than the 62.  i could almost guarantee that a 62 would be perfect for a 30" draw.

I draw 27”. My flinger is 64”.  Brian is making me another one also at 64”. If I recall, he did say I could easily go shorter but I just shoot so well (for me) at that length I just can’t go shorter for a longbow. Honestly, call Brian and talk to him. The guy is super easy to talk to and responds fast to texts or calls.

I have 62” and 64” stickflinger and both are smooth at my 31” draw
I prefer the 62” for hunting. It is easier to handle in ground blinds

I have long risers, and limbs to make 62" and 64" bows.  I draw just under 30", and have shot mostly shorter longbow and reflex most of the time for most of my traditional years.  I find the 64" to me to be the smoother and more stable option.  I would probably not hunt with the 62" option personally, unless it made the difference for hunting out of a ground blind.  Not that the 62" doesn't shoot great.  The 64' bows are magic for me.

i have the shorter riser on both the 62” and 64” bows
If you go with the longer riser then I agree you should go with the 64” bow
