Normally would be there for a day trip, but just had shoulder replacement surgery June 5th. Really enjoy Sawmill, great shoot. See you next year for sure! Have fun.

In a normal year - I wouldn't miss it.

But this year, I will be on my way back from Bear Quest, hopefully with some meat and a trophy for the wall.

Have fun and post some pictures.

I know its more of a shooter's event, but what's the vendor situation like? I'm considering a day trip and having a chance to pick up some goodies would be a bonus. Is there anything like the blanket swap at ETAR? What about guys selling and trading bows? It might make the difference between going to this or waiting for den to hill. Thanks!

very few venders but a lot of shooting with several ranges , the mountain range, pig pen, safari(down the road hay wagon ride), the around the pond and canoe range a real shooters week end !

I plan to go Thursday or early Friday through Sunday.

Theres a blanket swap in the evening around 6pm or so.  I think 1 vendor last year with all the basics for sale.  And some people camped out had stuff for sale at their campers/ tents.

So far this year, we have attended 4 local shoots, The Tennessee Classic, Cloverdale, Compton tomorrow, and a 5th local shoot on Sunday. Now, We are trying to arrange things so that we can make the 9 hour journey to sawmill for at least the weekend! Hopefully it works for us. We actually flew in from D.C. to Indianapolis on Memorial day morning so that we could drive an hour home from the airport, grab our bows, and make a shoot another hour away from home. So, we are known to do crazy things, and Sawmill is one of the few shoots that we haven't been to. We really enjoy the area and never miss ETAR, but ETAR is still too far away.
