Hello all!
I have just moved back to the states to New Mexico i am stationed at Holloman AFB in southern NM any one have any insight on good hunting areas( General or specific) as long as species i am pretty much open to anything. also if anyone could explain the over the counter tag system to me as well as the draw i would greatly appreciate it.

Welcome. The draw for elk and deer is over. If there are any leftover tags, you need to contact game and fish regarding them. I suspect anything left over is a very poor tag. Your best bet is to have deep pockets and look for a landowner tag. Craigslist might be the best place to look for them. Next year, the proclamation comes out toward late Jan. and the applications are due about April 1'st. Good luck.
