I would guess yes, but depends on how deep the staining is. Looks like that area is beefy enough that some wood removal wouldn’t hurt it any. Obviously the shelf and grip will end up with a slightly different shape depending on how much material has to be removed to get rid of the staining. I would plan on completely refinishing the bow.
