Where to get printed maps
« on: July 06, 2018, 07:02:54 PM »
Headed to Colorado this year to hunt elk. I have a GPS, but definitely need to have a printed map with me. Looking for features like topography. Free is my favorite price! Any suggestions y'all?

Why not Google Earth and print it.
There are various maps site that let you edit and print maps.

Go on Colorado Parks and Wildlife and look up the hunting atlas.  You can study to your hearts content and print whatever you settle on.  Lots of good info there.  If you play around with it you will find more and more interesting stuff.

I’ll second the mytopo. A little price involved but not too bad.

I’ve used mytopo for many of my Colorado trips, I like the fact you can customize them for the area your hunting.

Forgot to mention, I use an app on my Android
Us topo maps.  Fully customizable, you can print the maps and it's free for the basic version.
I've used it a fair amount and so far so good.
 Good luck this season

Wherever you get your map, be sure and have it laminated!
