I see a lot of parabolic and shield cuts with shooters but what about the rest like the Pope and Young cut. I suppose there is a number of threads already posted so please comment or direct me to some threads. Thanks

I’ve been playing with the target maxx fletch some and have liked it. They stabilize well and don’t make too much noise. I like pope and young but I found them to be noisy and drag quite a bit.

Last time I used feathers I burned them to the same shape as a Blazer vane.

I have used Pope and Young cut feathers in the past with my longbow. They whistle but the deer don't seem to care as it's the last sound they hear. One year I shot a tournament at the renaissance fair using those feathers and the crowd loved them! Everybody was cheering as they passed by! Fun!

I wonder if Pope and Young used that fletch. I can't tell from the pictures I have. My photos of Hill show parabolic.

Most pictures I've seen of Young show him using parabolics. Pope used something closer to what we know as a PnY fletch.
