centershot or axis arrows?

What do most of the traditional shooters prefer.  Advantages and disadvantages of each. I shoot 3ds but hunt more.  Thanks Dan

If you can find them,  the Beman MFX classics were the best they ever made.  The Axis would be next,  Centershot if you like a standard diameter arrow.

I was shooting Centershots with the brass inserts for several years and found them to be far more durable than any axis shafts. I got mushrooming on any hard contact with axis arrows (they were not footed) and the only centershots I ever had break were from animals snapping them in half.

I prefer centershot but axis will perform better and get a little more penetration.
Even so the quality on the centershot is high and they are underrated IMO and are a decent price.

It's too bad Easton stopped using brass inserts as standard on the centershot and axis.

I love the centershot arrows with the 75gr brass inserts. They are much tougher than the axis arrows. The centershots are not as small a diameter as the axis but they are a smaller diameter than the Gold tips.

I love centershots, will be using these for elk in September. With the 75 gr insert and 300 gr point full length , I added a ballistic collar from a GT classic and total is 690 gr. I think for me that's about perfect for my 55@31 bow.

I've shot both with no complaints. Axis seems a bit pricey for my taste. Switched last year to the Easton Aftermath and feel it's the best bang for the buck.
