Shooting to the right--- my barn made me do it

So i had been struggling with arrows going to the right---- im a lefty so figured it must be form.  So i watched Arne's rotational draw video and started aligning my shoulders during the first part of my draw.  That worked for me when shooting outside, but id go in the barn, or shoot into the barn and my arrows would go to the right.  Tonight the lights finally came on--- literally.  It was light enough that i wasnt using the overhead lights, but decided to turn them on and it cleaned up my right hits.  I use a crawl and aim off the arrow so something about the natural light in the barn was throwing me off.  Anyone else experience this?  And no my arrows are not too stiff.😊

Wouldn't the arrows be to weak if shooting right.

No.  Arrows hitting to right would be stiff for left hander if spine were the issue.  This would be more apparent w bareshafts and/ or broadheads.  I can assure you my arrows are tuned.  Most people jump on spine when it is a form issue.  In this case i believe it is perceptual and odd lighting.  A stiff arrow would fly stiff inside and outside.

Yes, I used to notice a change in impact with differences in lighting.   Crazy, huh? 

I started making sure my string blur was just inside the arrow and it went away, no matter the lighting.

Lighting sure affects me. I don't shoot near as well without good lighting. The old sub conscious needs to see more than I though or deteriorating eyesight is letting me down. No problem target shooting but is a pain hunting first and last light.>>>----> Ken

Jim, what do you mean when you say string blur is just inside the arrow?  Do you mean between the arrow and riser?  Do you manipulate it by tilting your head more or less?
I know if i hold the bow loose the bow should rotate to alignment in my hand, but have noticed that string blur varies in position.

There you go.  When the string blur is in different places, the arrow will be too.   

Usually the blur "kind of" takes care of itself.  Usually when I engage my back it's right, but sometimes I have to move my head right or left to make sure it's in the same place every time.  My string in the blur hugs the inside of the shaft where it meets the side plate. It happens so fast it's difficult to explain.

Thanks Jim.  So I've been at it all day ( i shoot way too many arrows).  I think i finally figured out the causes for my hitting to the right.  I burn my feathers and these were 5/8" high.  I turned cock feather in and the arrow flew better.  I then re- burnt reathers to about 3/8" high and they flew where i looked.  The problems with the high feathers were worse on skinny light shafts so i think clearance issues shoved them further off course ( i shoot left handed).  I believe i had read one of your posts regarding feather clearance and seeing your name must have made the lightbulb go on.
I can now shoot these with my usual feather position as an upside down Y.  I did have some wood arrows that showed a touch weak w broadheads and i tried cock feather in and that seemed to help.
Does all this sound correct?

Good.  Glad you got it worked out.  Sometimes clearance issues can drive you nuts.
