Thunderbird was sprayed too Thick!! Almost cured new Question

Really loves the TBird epoxy application.  It sprayed well and lates flat with no runs.  However I liked it too much because after my 2 day wait from my initial 2 sprays 3 hours apart, epoxy hasn’t cured fully to my tastes to now wet sand with 400. My finger nail can leave an indention

So can I put the riser on dash of truck today for some heat to cure it fully? Or is this is as hard as it will get?  Will it eventually cure out and get hard enough to sand and for dust?

As long as it was mixed correctly, it will set up.  Eventually.  Leave it be for a week and I'll bet it's just fine.

What is the ambient temp where you are? The flat and satin will take longer to cure. Gloss is quicker. Takes longer in cooler weather. Get your spray booth about 80 degrees.

thanks!  it's slowly getting harder and its day 4...Fulerplast spoiled me but overall I love the Gloss of the epoxy T Bird.. I am going to hate to dull it to go hunting in a month. i may not dull it though. In the past on gloss finish i would rub the bow with Wax ( same cake i use for my strings) and it dulls. Then after the season rub off and bam i got ole shiney back

I use camo face paint to camo up my bows.

It wipes right back off and I can touch it up at anytime..

If fact, walking through the woods or a high grass field, any little twig or blade of grass that scrapes the bow takes off a tiny thin line of the camo paste. Makes the camo job look even better.

Appears the bow is or has cured. Been 5 days maybe give another day.

Question:  sprayed bow in gloss and want to dull it. What method  do you TBird guys use to dull?

On their website, it states this
"We recommend three coats of finish to provide lasting protection for a bow. You can achieve a hand-rubbed, extra smooth finish by sanding the bow after two days, with #400/600 wet sandpaper, and then buffing with #0000 steel wool. "

So this is probably my answer?  Wet sand high grit and buff with 0000 and be finished.

Unless you have moisture issues, there is no reason you shouldn't have chalk when sanding after 2 days of dry.   Did you wait the customary 30 minutes before adding thinner?

If it was too thick to dry, there would be runs!
