hand sanitizer string silencers
« on: September 12, 2018, 10:32:22 PM »
I was shooting a bow I plan to hunt with this fall and it had a fair amount of a twang sound.  I know the normal material is fur strips and I have plenty of those but I wanted to try something different.   I noticed the holder for a bottle of hand sanitizer was made from thin silicone.  I cut it into strips and gave that a try.  It worked surprisingly well.  It really quieted down the bow.  I'm not crazy about the blue color.  I'm going to try to find some black silicone to replace it.

Very cool hey what ever works I put these Black widow spiders on my R/D and they work great, Im going to try Para cord silencers on the FHLBs seen them used around the net , my wood bows are quite as is dont need them.
If you fear failure, you will never try ! But never except it!!

Clint. I have about 15 feet of cat whisker material, more than I will ever use. Stop by next week and I will give you as much as you want.
