Bow Question ????
« on: March 27, 2008, 12:25:00 AM »
I was in a local sporting goods store today and they had a longbow that a guy was trying to sell. It was a Wapiti Spike takedown longbow. The guy said that the person that was selling it said it was a custom bow and I believe it was because it had someones name on it. Has anyone ever heard of this bow and if so give me some opinions the guy is only asking $ 300.00 for it. I shot the bow a few times and it is a good shooting bow and extremely quiet, it had a little handshock but I am also a recurve shooter and it just felt different mostly.

Yes, the bow is made by Keith Chastain,  www.worldclassbows.   Owned one of his recurves once, good bows.  Paul.

Thanks guys if I didnt have a 4 state turkey trip planned to start next week I would buy it right now I need to wait till after my trip and see how my funds hold up. I have never shot a longbow till yesterday and it is different from shooting a recurve so I may buy it just to give it a try I think I could at least get my money back if I dont like it. Thanks again.

Nice bow, made by Keith Chastain of Lakewood, Colorado. It's well worth the $300.00. Jump on it.
