Galaxy Ember Takedown Longbow
« on: September 25, 2018, 01:28:29 PM »
back in February 2018 I sent my Kentuckian longbow to get refinished. I final got it back at the end of August. I am really happy with the job.. Well about 3 months ago I started having problems in the joints of my hands and shoulders, I have been shooting my Kentuckian which is #68 but it really hurts to shoot. I was thinking about ordering the Galaxy Ember mainly because of the price and that my whitetail season starts Oct 6th here in Va. I was going to get it in #45 in hops that I can shoot pain free. Any feed back would be greatly appreciated.. Thanks all... :dunno:

I got one for the same reason. I just wanted a light bow for practice and didn't want to spend a lot of money. I have been super impressed with mine. I got the bamboo longbow limbs and I would not hesitate to buy another one.

Great bows I have several of them and several other Galaxy bow also , can’t go wrong in my opinion. I just put one through hell and back on a month long hunt in Colorado and it preformed flawlessly. Also I’m pushing some pretty heavy arrows out of all my bows and these bows send them down range very well. I have taken several animals with the bows also , like I said they are great...

Got one 40lb for my wife -mandarin duck, black hunter, same as ember- my brother shot it and sold his longbows and bought a 50lb version and it rips. I built him a nice d97 string and that little bow shoots his 550 grain Carbon at 180 fps 29" draw. Awesome bow for the money. It was 170 Canadian to the door and it took 1 week.

I have the Big Rock Black Hunter (same bow) from Twig Archery. By far, the easiest bow to shoot well that I ever touched! Everyone I talked to that has one agrees. I added a quiver for hunting and I swear it shoots even better.

Twigs deal includes bamboo limbs, FF string, nock, silencers, rug rest, all installed ready to shoot. John personally weighs the draw to make sure you get what you ordered. $200 for the best shooting bow I ever had, and I've owned a bunch.

I have a Galaxy Ember LB 55#@28", I had it Hydro-dipped by Randy Hoffer, it's about al that I shoot anymore. I took a nice buck with it on opening morning, so I may hunt with my Silvertip recurve until I kill one with it and then switch back to the G/E because it is so much fun to shoot. I made an Ultra-Cam FF string for it specific to it's optimum brace height and put on a Kanati Strap on quiver and it got even quieter.
Lefties are the only ones who hold the bow in the right hand.

I just had one hanging with a set of #50 longbow limbs.  Top limb broke right at the fade.  You get what you pay for...

I bought a brand new martin super diablo. Owned it for 366 days, never dry fired or abused on the 366th day at a 3d shoot the top limb

split down the middle on the shot, one side of the split limb broke hitting me in the top of the head,my arrow went about 15' in front of

me,nock was not broke. So the bow was one day out of warranty and I was shooting with a martin dealer and they wouldn't help me out

so yeah you get what you pay for and sometimes it leaves a bad taste in your mouth,if that martin had cost me $129 it wouldn't

have tasted so bad.
