New to me Black Widow TFII on its way!
« on: September 22, 2018, 06:07:41 PM »
I have a TFII on its way to me that I bought from a gentleman in North Carolina. My money order is still trying to find its way to him due to the storm. Tracking shows he should get the MO on Monday and I sent it out this past Monday...even paid extra for two day delivery!! No biggie, but I am anxious to get my hands on the bow and get it tuned for deer season.
The bow should come in right at 45# at my draw length (bow is 42#@27" and I draw 28") and I have some .500 Beman ICS Bowhunters that should shoot well from it. Any of you all shooting a TF/PTF? I was looking for a PSR, but being a lefty finding a used one in my specs is not easy. I wanted a lighter mass weight recurve as it is easier on my bow arm shoulder (rotator cuff impingement), so I am thinking (hoping) this bow should work well for me. Always enjoyed shooting my old SAIII and the limb design of the TF is the same as the SA/PSA series of bows so I am expecting similar shooting characteristics and performance.  Any feedback from PTF/TF owners will be appreciated.
Thanks, Mike

Good for you Mike! I have my eyes on one of those myself. Trying to sell one before pulling the trigger but not sure I am going to be able to hold off, lol!

I had and sold a 45# TFII on this site many moons ago--it was a great little bow at its 56" AMO, but a bit too heavy for me at the time. You will love it!

Of all the widows I have shot, the TF was my favorite.

I have had the 58,60 and 62 inch PTF.They all worked very well for me.I draw 29 inches.

I saw you wanted less mass weight for your impingment. The bow will be of moderate mass weight. If you use a bowquiver and want to keep that mass weight very low I would recommend a 3 arrow Eagles flight quiver.Very light weight quiver.

I really liked 8 strand SBD bowstrings on those with wool puffs and brace hieght of around 8 and 3/4.

The TF was waiting on my front porch when I got home last night. Unboxed her and shot a few arrows and was pretty pleased with the results. Took some time this morning and got the bow tuned in and it shot very well. Just came in from shooting broadheads and they hit right with my field points. Bow is quiet, shoots where I'm looking and feels good in my hand. Can't ask for anymore than that!

That’s exactly what kind of bow string it has on it  :archer2:

Sounds like the two of you are getting along real well Mike !!! Hard to go wrong with any of the bows in the Black Widow lineup.
