Seems to me that 3/8 of an inch doesn't seem to make too much difference on carbons if they are right for the bow.
Same difference seems to apply to weight on the front end.
I've went from 150 to 175 up front and haven't noticed a distinct difference.
I was shooting 55-60# bows with GT 5575s cut from 28 1/2 to 30".
Now shooting 48-52# bows with the same arrows and adding a ton of weight up front.
Just as an example my 48# Griffin is firing 5575's with 290 front side just as accurately as my 54# Ghost at 225-250 front side.
Also still own the first longbow I ever bought from DQ 55# and it shoots 2117's and no other bow I've owned will handle that heavy an arrow.
I've come to figure, if it fits wear it, if it don't adjust it, and if that don't work, get rid of it. JMHO
