Thanx Danny for posting our pictures. It was a memorable hunt for sure. Dan and I have been teaming up for close to 25 years. This was the first time we both took deer with longbows on a Black powder opener. We were about 200 yards apart on the same long ridge. I had a button buck under me for 20 minutes around 4:30. Saw several other does passing by around 30 yards. Then around 6:00 I get this text from Dan " Shot a doe. Getting down." At the same time I here footsteps coming my way. I Positioned myself and took my own doe. A&H ACS 57lb at 29.5, 64 inch delivering a Goldtip 300 with a single bevel Grizzly broad head Jazzed up D&M arrow (555gr.) Dan was shooting a Grizzly head also. We also both had a nice downhill drag. Then the celebration...
I want to thank Dan's wife Dawn for taking our hero shots for us and providing us a great dinner.
