Wow...Looks like great fun and great hunt!  I can't wait because Joe is coming to the Paradise in south Georgia to hunt hogs with me this March.  Another St Judes hunt!  tippit

👍👍👍 Thank you for the story and a win win for all.  Those who’ve hunted over good bird dogs know what a treat it is.  It’s half the fun of upland hunting.

I just had to read this one again on a computer where I could see the pictures. And yes those Windrows sure are tall.

truly great pics and once again a story worth reading twice... too funny about Gracie's  for sale story.

And just to remind people that are new st. Jude's gets a free pass... whether it's fishing, guns, eating cookies, or making quilts... all these stories are fair game if they're won on the st. Jude's auction

To put a bit of a postscript on this story, I will be offering the St. Jude's Quail Hunt for auction again in the next one. So, when the next auction starts please be on the lookout.

Yes Jeff I had my eye on your St Judes Paradise Hog hunt but I could not bid against the guy who donated the Quail hunt … I wish you great success on that hunt and I know you will enjoy Joe.

Two great donations for the kids

After we were all done, Miss Gracie was "dog tired" and took a bit of a nap. Ken and Dale were terrific guys to spend time in the field with.

Hey Allen, yes it was a great time and Gracie wasn't the only one who needed a rest after the hunting. Since Rocky and I were traveling so far to do this hunt we asked Joe if he wouldn't mind making it a four day hunt and we would cover any extra expense. He was very kind to be dog handler, guide and new friend for the extra days. The new friend part will last much longer, we certainly hope to see Joe again !!

A few folks we left out of this story are Bernard and Chris. They took care of all the cleaning and freezing of our birds for the trip home. They made the experience even easier for Dale and I and they were very nice guys. We also met Bob the manager of the club, he is the bird dog trainer extordinaire and had some beautiful dogs in the kennel at the Ranch. I had to pry Rocky out of his office to go hunting he was enjoying telling and listening to stories with Bob so much.

Joe said he would be donating this hunt again for St Judes and I would highly recommend it  :jumper: :jumper:

Thanks for the story and the pictures. It is a beautiful sight to watch a god bird dog work. This is a fine way to have a wonderful trip and make money for St. Jude's at the same time.
