Where to Find Brass
« on: December 04, 2018, 02:48:36 PM »
Trying to finish up an 1840 dagger.  I broke the tang last spring and re-welded it back early summer.  When I lost my tracking dog in June, I lost my interest to forge.  Now my shop is open in SC and I need to finish up this dagger.  I was going to make the guard out of steel but the original was brass.  Trying to find a piece of 1/4 inch thick brass???

Check out K&G, they usually have some brass in stock.
