Late OTC nonresident AZ, NM or TX hunts???

I know its pretty late in the season to be planning new hunts, but does anyone know of any otc hunting opportunities for non residents around AZ, NM or possibly TX that won't break the bank? I'll be heading down to Arizona soon for the winter and am looking for an excuse to bring the bow. I think I remember reading how the southern hunting seasons tend to be later than here in Oregon, but am completely ignorant of the regs for those states. My biggest interest are javelina and coues deer. Thanks!

Just got this in my inbox from Arizona. Looks like you should be able to secure a javelina tag there. I'll be hunting them in unit 22 in January.

Not sure about getting a javalina tag, but you definitely can get in some good OTC Muley and Coues whitetail deer bowhunting in during January. There is a PBS member hunt for these critters in AZ around the end of December/beginning of January.

In Texas it's all OTC. Securing a place to hunt it is another matter. Here you can hunt feral pigs most anywhere and at anytime. Exotic animals are available year round but not quite as widespread or inexpensive to hunt as pigs. Many properties have special permits to allow the to hunt whitetail deer until the end of February and many outfitters and day leases are available for that. We have javelina as well and just like the rest you just have to find a ranch selling hunts. They do a big hunt every year southwest of San Antonio called the Texas Shoot Out. You can look it up on Facebook and it's reasonable in cost. Friends who have gone say it's a blast.
Good hunting.

Check the Az Game and Fish site. Some of those left over tags for Javelin are mail in or in person. Unit 21 has a bunch

By and large all archery deer tags are otc in AZ. Most of Dec. and all of Jan. As stated earlier a bunch of javi tags are left. I plan to be out a lot in Jan. as we aren't traveling for the holidays this year.
