3 feathers vs 4 feathers
«

im sure this question's not new, but which is better? 4 feathers vs 3 feathers? i shot 3, 5" parabolics, but i've started to hear things about using 4 smaller 4" feathers. Anyone have any input? any links to postings already done on this topic? benefits to using over over the other? why go one way over the other? pros and cons to each?

I have been shooting three 4" parabolics with broadheads and get good stable flight. Shooting three 3" parabolics with field points. I am watching the other thread also since it is dealing with quiet feathers and how low can you go with feathers and retain the proper stabilizing force for broadheads. Just started experimenting with four 4" parabolics for turkey season shooting the larger bullhead, flies well in the back yard.

Only drawback for 4 I see is 3 feathers is easier to fit in my quivers without touching the feathers of each other. Very easy to see white 4 fletch arrow flight and I feel viewing arrow flight is very important to my old brain. Oh ya, and 4's take 33% more time to fletch. That could be important if you are old and dont have much time left.
