moose calls
« on: January 19, 2019, 12:13:45 PM »
last summer I started building a moose call, like most things I do, I took it beyond a moose call for myself and started building them for people.  These call are traditional birch bark but with a few modern twists. The one with the moose logo on it is my first build.  it is over built for raking and scraping beyond calling.  the second one is my lastest of 6.  it is very basic with a traditional look.

Those calls are great!
I’ve been wanting to make one for myself but I just haven’t found a good piece of bark. The birches where we hunt are spindly.

FYI

first call is inside - out birch, they  both are finished with apoxy resin, sewn with leather and or sinue.  will try some spruce root in future.
