Yup, I was guessing.

Just looked, $11.00...

T-Bird is the best option in the long run.

It also lays down very nicely when you spray it.

Give David a call, he will answer all your questions.

You guy's are way more patient that me, using those finishes with 3 and 4 hour redcoat times.
I would be stuck watching the finish dry the whole time, looking for sags. Although that would give me plenty of time to sniff the finish.

Maybe I need to learn how to Zen out like you guy's. Do you do yoga or meditate while the finish is drying?

We said:

3 or 4 light coats, a little more paint with each coat, waiting about 5 minutes between "each coat."

3 or 4 light coats is one coat.

Then wait like you said.

Ok, so I am convinced about T-Bird finish, but in reading the web site it recommends at .8 to 1.0 valve for gloss and up to a 1.4 valve for satin or flat. My sprayer has a 1.8 valve, how is the finish going to react to that?

Thats a pretty big tip for spraying clears, but I have not shot epoxy. You might not thin down as much as recommended or try bumping up the pressure. Is your gun gravity or pressure feed? One way to tune the finish, is using a ford cup to measure viscosity. You can experiment with different viscosity by making simple syrup, timing it with the Ford cup and shooting it. Then match your finish viscosity to what works best. Lot cheaper that having to experiment with some expensive clears. If you do try the syrup, be sure to rinse the living crap out of your gun, a lot of metals don't like sugar.

Mine is a siphon feed. Sounds like I may want to start looking at the recommended cheapo's from HF, they actually get high praise.

Tru Oil is all I use now on whole Bow be it Glass or carbon and if riser is grainy I might brush on T Bird sealer let dry, sand, then Tru Oil. Old T shirt and latex glove is all that's needed, no clean up, no harsh smells and after using my finger to apply sparingly after 8 coats it looks like glass. Depending on humidity I can do 3 to 4 coats a day. I must say T Bird is good stuff just don't like the prep and clean up of spraying and I'm only making a few Bows a year.
