DIY 5 min install clicker
« on: January 28, 2019, 02:57:37 AM »
If necessity is the mother of invention, lack of availability is the father  :biglaugh:

I've been wanting to try a clicker for a while, but down here in Aus, trad archery stuff isn't easy to find and I wasn't paying 3x the price of the clicker in postage to get one here from the US/UK.

I've tried a few different iterations before coming up with this simple one that takes 5 min to install. It probably won't be a permanent installation here, I will eventually shift it further up the limb to reduce the string length if I decide I like it after testing in the real world (read bush-bashing through thick scrub!). Pics should be self explanatory, but I did wrap it in a couple of pieces of tape to protect the rubber on the quiver and drilled a smaller hole in the other end to reduce the size of knots that was needed to stop it pulling through.

Hope this is helpful for someone else.

Steve

Good improvisation.  Should you decide to mount it further out on the limb, foam core double backed tape would do the job.
