Trying unsuccessfully to stalk a boar (boots were on, that was the problem!); later that morning, I got my first pig (a sow) with my wife there to share the moment:

By the time my mate and I caught up to this fellow, after I'd hit him less than marvellously, it was too hot for him to run anymore, and I had to do some quick shooting to take him down before he came at us. It would've been a high-40s day, with really high humidity too, and trying to survive as well as take a photo presents challenges:
