Good luck CT guys. I'll be out with my kohannah LB for a couple hours. I'll take any shot they give me. String tracker attached.

Three hours in the blind, saw three deer and heard one hen, but didn't see her. Not one gobble.

Finally got back out to my best property. Birds were on the ground, as I prefer. Set up on a cart path with a hen and a Jake with a real fan. About 1/2 hour into calling at the birds next door, four Jake's showed up quietly. Came past my blocking tree and immediately went on alert, putting and backing off. They circled wide into the other neighbors field and off they went.
Five minutes later, I could hear a Tom or two gobbling from the same place. Only a few minutes passed, and they had covered half the distance. As I gave a final purr, one sounded off around 40 yards, his buddy snuck in quietly and busted me in the same spot as the Jake's.
I thought I was done, but after some light calling, one of the Toms came back in full strut. I was already at full draw as he came past the tree.
I'm not a snap shooter and I come to full draw, then find my anchor. As I anchored and was trying to pick a feather on his chest, he went from full strut to hauling butt and putting as he ran away, leaving me at full draw.
I was wearing my ghillie, but obviously didn't have enough natural cover, since all 6 birds busted me in the exact same spot.
Fun morning though.

Good luck!  I miss the CT turkey season!  I have lived in AZ for 8 years now.
