we just applied for gmu 4,5,441 for archery elk. We were thinking on starting out near bears ears peaks. Does anyone have any suggestions on areas to try or any experience in these units?? Really appreciate any info..starting to plan the trip already!!

Try working from there south down towards private property. I have always been able to find elk around the Angle springs area also. There are elk in that area you just have to be at the same place they are at the same time. You will probably end up seeing more hunters than elk. Also stay off the calls. Maybe a cow call once in a while (real soft when in the elk)but those elk in that area are so call shy they will probably just go the other direction if they hear any bugling at all, and you should probably not hunt a bugle either since it will more than likely be another hunter. Good luck
