3D shoots in PA
« on: April 05, 2019, 10:26:50 AM »
Does anyone have a source for finding 3D shoots in PA?  Seems like the ones I have used in the past have dried up.

Where in PA are you located?  Check out the Pennsylvania Longbow Association’s website. There is a shoot this weekend.

How about this shoot, John.

Bob Hildenbrand runs it and it's about 10 miles closer to ya from the SS shoot.

Thanks guys, I live in Huntingdon and was trying to stay within an hour drive for a single day shoot.  Sounds like there are still clubs out there that put on a good shoot, may have to extend my travel time.

There is quite a bit of 3D’s over here in WEstern PA.
Ther is a good one tomorrow at Saltsburg Sportsman. They put on a good shoot.
Lots of longer shots tho. It is a mixed compound and trad.

Bob from Hermanie has a 2 day trad weekend in June. He and his club put on good shoots.

Memorial Day weekend there's a hugely underrated shoot held by the Conococheague Archers at the Greencastle Sportsman's Club just outside Greencastle (Franklin County). Seventy-five-ish targets, a beautiful facility, free camping (NO hookups)...it's fantastic. I think attendance isn't what it could be because the Baltimore Bowmen Traditional Classic is the weekend before as I recall. Typically there are few if any vendors...it's a "shoot" for sure! The event runs Fri.-Mon.
