My Son finally thought about Dad
« on: May 06, 2019, 02:38:22 PM »
So we live in a rural area with no trash pic up. So about once a month we make trip to the local dump. It used to be my job but when my son got his drivers license it became his. Believe me, its always an adventure no telling what you will find thrown away. My wife and I returned home from a luncheon we had to go to and when we drive up to the house I see something in back of the truck. I rub my eyes look again OMG its a 3d target and a nice one. I asked my Son where he got it and he said that the man that manages the dump was sitting outside with 4-5 different targets. So he stop and asked if he was selling them the man said to make an offer. So my Son only has a 10.00 on him and offers that. The man says perfect. He comes home with this.

I was so excited it says delta 2009 on it and as far as I could tell it was never shot. Its faded and has some pin holes from the weather I guess. But its my new favorite target.

Now I know what your thinking I was thinking the same thing. Why didn't he buy all of them? I went looking to see if could buy the others but the dump was closed and the man was gone. Will have to wait till this weekend to find out if he still has them. Just thought I would share.

Thanks

Wow! I would have headed back to the dump to see if I could pick up some of those other targets. A great find!

You obviously raised your son well.  Congrats!  Did you return his $10?

Looks a little dried out, but very servable. Try repainting it, let dry and spray with Thompson water seal. Should get many years out of it. Great find and bargain.
