fletching your own arrows - how long before you move gig to next arrow?

I use  Saunders NPV  Fletching Glue,and I usally Have a Cheap Timer on it, Set for 17 Minutes. Then set them aside for the Night, By Morning You should be Shootin' Them!!

I finish my wood arrows with polyurethane and use Duco for flething and nocks.  I give them 15 minutes and keep track of it with a small timer.  Less time might be OK, but I've had issues in the past with less.  It's generally easier to deal with too much than not enuf.  The timer makes a big difference in getting arrows done quickly.  So does having three Bitz's set up to match.  Don't forget to have fun.

i got tired of paying 8 or 9 bucks for fletching glue and not being able to got to the local store and get it i use cap wraps on my ce heritage shafts and i go to the hobby store or the local drug store and buy thick or either gel super glue and in 6 months of using i havent had one feather come off or loose and i can buy a bottle of thick which is a big bottle at the hobby store for 4.99 and i give them between 2 to 3 minutes between each feather just my 2 cents

stick to shaft
DONE...move to next feather
after all fletching is on... drop of glue on both ends.

I think something other than Duco is suggested for fletching over wraps.

Most glues are good to go in 15 minutes. Helps if it's done in a warm, dry environment.

Never did understand the "rush" to get arrows fletched. Since I ain't "killin snakes" glue works for me.      :D

I use the fletch-tite platinum and wait ~5 minutes between feathers. You could wait longer, but 5 minutes is long enough. Just be careful with them and unless you snag one on the jig or something, they will be set up enough in 5 minutes. Works great on all carbons and arrow wraps. You can fletch lots of arrows from one tube.

I use fletch tite or fletch tite platinum and give it a minimum of 20 minutes but usually 30 just to be safe. No one has mentioned it yet but I believe that the more helical you put on the more glue cure time you should allow. I set my jig for maximum helical and have had feathers sort of pull off at the ends when I didn't allow at least 20 minutes.

I have a JoJan Multi so I can do a dozen in an hour and a half.

I don't know if it's true but I've heard the fletch tape can move in hot weather.

Fletch tape: $5.00   The 9 minutes and 55 seconds you don't have to wait for glue to dry: Priceless!

I use Bohning Platinum on arrow wraps.  I wait about 2-3 minutes before moving on.

I tried the tape and it works real well but if you are a little shacky or nervous as I am it's a little hard to keep the tape straight. So I use glue (about 15 min.)

I don't like the consistancy of the Platinum..too much like jelly, can't get a good stream going on evenly. The regular Fletchtite works great on those carbons. I clean the surface first with alcohol and then fletch. I leave the clamps on for at least 20mins.  I hate it when you remove them too soon and the fletching starts to curl!!!  Do it right the first time!

I use Duco or fletch tite. I fletch helical and let the glue set for 25-30 min.for each feather. then none move when the clamp is removed.

25/30 min on any glue I use. Never got in a hurry
