Kenny, how short can you go with your FHLB? I'm interested in building a short bow for blind hunting.

I have a 56" but you start losing a bit of performance shorter than 58" as you are losing reflex when you shorten it…
Stay sharp, Kenny.

Only hunted out of blind a couple times but they are not user friendly for stick bows!

I'm getting rid of my blind, hate being in it, can't hear, can't see, just feels wrong. Just me tho...
Stay sharp, Kenny.

Great work Kenny!
I think I might need to blow the dust off of my bow making stuff and give this one a try!
Looks great!!

Thanks Thad, if you like shorter bows, it works well! I really like the angle of the handle, just fits me...
Stay sharp, Kenny.

Design looks good, was it a total of .001 taper you recommended?

Yes , .001 taper. A tip wedge is needed to keep string off limb . Sounds wrong but it makes the limb bend more in center and moves string off end of limb.
Stay sharp, Kenny.

I made a 58” and it’s a sweet shooter. Only 40 lbs but it handles nicely in a blind. No turkey wants to get close enough to try it out yet

That mark 2 I posted in another thread was only a 40# bow and is 60'' ntn and is unreal performer for the relatively lite weight. Slams an arrow in.Very impressive.Sold me!

The 60" is very light and nimble my weight is 19 oz and change ,Im throwing a strap on quiver when it gets here but bet its still a light set up , working on a 58" now trying for a lighter 40-45lb one like you guys !

I might try one at 58” soon as I only draw 29”!with stick bow, do will leave riser length same at 16”. Be keen to see how the 13” riser goes Ritchie.

I will let you know I decided Im going 14" for the 58" I will try 13" for the 56" might as well work my way down in increments makes more sense to me to do it that way , just no time with work going to finish up the 64"' this week end , is the 58" next for you Bob ?

Could be Ritchie. Might make another 60” and then the 58”.Not sure yet. 14” sounds a good compromise.
