Birthday pig
« on: June 23, 2019, 01:03:11 PM »
I hit the double nickels yesterday and decided to run out to the ranch, do a little work then an evening sit for pigs.  Very breezy with little movement of anything space red birds and quail.
The sun was long down and dark was settling in when four porkers came in and began feeding around.  I shot the first one that got broad side.   Perfect eater.  I'll soak her out and make some pulled pork.  15 yard shot.  25 yard recovery.   Right through the heart.

Congrats! I want to say your shot was off a bit but I can’t.  😁

Congrats! I want to say your shot was off a bit but I can’t.
As dark as it was getting picking a spot on a black pig wasn't real easy but that lighted nock zipped right through where I was looking.
Thanks to Buff for that piece of advice.

Great job.  People that don't hogs at night don't realize the degree of difficulty that is added for shot placement

AWESOME!!

Great birthday gift to yourself.  Mine is coming up in a few weeks.  Maybe I can get really lucky and find a place to hunt pigs down here in the Houston area.  Then I might be able to join you with a birthday pic.

Enjoy the eating...

Larry
