I never get tired of hearing Monty Browning stories
« on: July 04, 2019, 07:11:11 AM »
Steve Angell and Nick Viau did a live interview with Monty and Bryan Burkhardt at the Compton Rendezvous. There is some back ground noise due to where it was done and live audience. But the stories are great.

Yes, his stories are great and so is his delivery. Super nice human being and nerves of steel. Most folks cant believe he gets so close to dangerous game. This man is a professional tree topper and that is about as dangerous as it gets  says the lineman!

My son and I were in the audience at Comptons when this podcast was recorded.  Monty is always a hoot to listen to and it was almost like dueling stories as both guys have some great ones, and toward the end an elderly gentleman who did not seem to realize the program was being recorded approached the table and shared a story of his own.  He had stood by the door ready to leave but thought he should share his story.  Nick and Steve did a masterful job of just letting him share his story and never indicated to him that they were recording live.  I admired them for the way they handled the situation--real class.
The years accumulate on old friendships like tree rings, during which time a kind of unspoken care and loyalty accrue between men.

If you like Monty you need to buy his book. Number one on my must read list. Got it for Christmas and I'm limiting myself to two stories a month instead of busting through like I normally due. Unbelievable photography.

Wholeheartedly agree. I REALLY wish he would write another.
