russian spammers
« on: July 26, 2019, 07:31:58 AM »
for the last few days trad gang has been under russian spammer attack.

some threads (topics) have been hit with many dozens of porn posts.

most of those posts have been moved offline while we are disinfecting them.

please bear with us during this process, we will put back threads once they've been cleared.

all new trad gang registrations will be reviewed before access is given.

thank you for your patience and understanding.

We may need volunteers.  For screening purposes, of course. :goldtooth:

What the HECK!? Those guys don't have anything better to do? Other than just causing trouble what do they get out of it?

I just don't understand people... most of the time.

known infected threads and posts have been disinfected.

registrations now require admin approval.  it's interesting to note that the russian spammers created a number of user logins that lay unused and dormant until we shut them down for creating new logins, then they activated the earlier unused logins to spam threads with posts.

there can be any number of reasons why these seemingly stupid spam threads and posts were created, and by whom.  one theory is that they're just juveniles with nothing better to do.  another is that they are trolling for hits on their porn websites.  yet another is that they're adults who are learning their craft of accessing and disrupting American websites.
