The reason for this post is I bought some nocks from one of the largest sporting goods retailers going. the nocks came in a package with there logo, took them home put them on some arrows, the nocks must have been old or something because when I released  the nocks broke, basically dryfiring the bows, yes both of them the limbs blew up on the one bow, the other bow developed a crack from the handle up and down the back of the bow, cut all them nocks off bought some more from another company, took the nocks back along with my bows and showed them what happened, they took pictures of the bows, well I heard back today and this is what they would do sell me one of these at a discount, I told them to take these nocks off the shelf before someone was hurt, I just don,t think I want to give them a any more money, I,m already out my 2 bows.

Dude,

Personally, I would ask them to replace the bows if the nocks are defective. Do you still have the nocks so you can prove that they are defective? Did you buy the right size nocks and install them correctly? Never heard of nocks going bad because of being older.

Ditto, I would think they are responsible.

They took the nocks back, Yes they were the right size, they were on alums and I installed them the same way I have always done it. I thought it looked like the plastic had air pockets in it, don,t know for sure all I know is it cost them a customer, not a big spender, but just the princple of the thing,

Be sure about the cause before you make a claim. There are some glues that are not compatible with some plastic nocks. Some glues will weaken or eat thru the plastic nock.

That could be the case but the plastic where it attaches to the shaft was intact it was the ears that were breaking off. I have always used fletchtie to put my knocks on.
