I have one very similar. The name has changed but the design is the same. The leg buckles and sternum bucket are metal. It makes a little noise the way I set up. I did cut off the heavy steel carabiner and replace it with an aluminum one (rock climbing).  However, it is comfortable and that is a good price.

I went to a rock climbing harness a couple of years ago. Super safe, much more comfortable and a lot cheaper than a full body harness. Plus if you fall, you wind up FACING the tree not away from it, and taking clothing layers on and off is not an issue. I will not go back to a full body system.

I purchased one. Looks like it will work, but not for me... too small for big boys. I gave it to my office guy Clint. He's only half grown and should be able to fit in it fine.
