It's been years since I've shot a bow due to a heart attack , which weakened me and caused Frozen Shoulder Syndrome which prevented me from drawing back my bows. I sold all my gear to help pay for medical bills. Flash forward to now and I'm thinking about shooting again thx to exercise and stretching to strengthen my shoulder.
I'm torn on whether to go trad or compound.
With a compound I can shoot a higher poundage bow but I LOVE the simplicity and spiritual side of trad but I know I'll never be able to shoot the weight I was shooting (45#) nor will I be able to shoot/afford a bow like I had (Toelke Whip).
If going with trad I'll probably go with something like a SAMICK SAGE due to price ( I pay $1200.00 a month for health insurance plus doctor visits) and the ability to switch out the limbs.
My question is what would be a good weight to start out with and what would be a good shooting regiment to begin with?
Any tips, suggestions, experiences similar to mine would be GREATLY APPRECIATED!!
THX!!!! 😁🏹
