Pretty nice dovetail!  Dovetail points are believed to be 8,000-10,000 years old. They are found throughout most of the eastern USA. Most of the larger early archaic points were resharpened to a steep left alternating bevel.

i'm not so sure its that old. It is a dovetail. but to me, it doesn't have any of the features of being old. JMHO. But, pictures can be deceiving

I was told by someone knowledgeable about stone points that the single bevel points were ones that were resharpened on the shaft. I guess you could also tell if the owner was right or left handed by the sides that were resharpened.
