blessing in disguise
« on: October 18, 2019, 02:16:56 PM »
I took the shot about ten minutes after sunset last night. He was about 4 yards out and I hit him a little back. After looking for my arrow and giving him some time, i too up the trail, finding bright red blood quickly. 75 yards in I look up and see him, head down looking over his shoulder k
looking at me. I backed out, went around and came home. Back at dawn, I found him in a creek bottom in about 15 minutes. 8 feet down I'd have never got him out by myself in the dark. The farmer let me use his tractor with bucket and i got him out with minimal sweat. almost felt like cheating. VPA head out of my Thunderchild.

Nice harvest and a beautiful knife! What kind is it?

The knife is a “HUNT’N FISCH by CRKT. Long time PBS member LarryFischer designed it before he passed away due to pancreatic cancer. I love drop points. Larry sure knew what he was doing.

Jim;

Been nice chatting with you.  There are some big bucks in that neck of the woods.  Miss being able to ask permission instead of paying a couple grand trespass fee for a lease.

Thanks Charlie. I have just one left, so it doesn’t get shot. I never met Larry, wish I had.
