3pc takes more time two times waiting for epoxy to cure. A little more time drilling and tapping riser holes little more on alignment.  Having said that probably build 3pc 50 to 1 vs one piece.

Not sure my opinion counts since I have been AWOL for so long. I find 3 pc easier.

3 pc. The riser is far easier to construct with the exception of hole alignment because there is no glass to cut unless you use glass for support construction. It does take a bit longer since you glue one limb at a time.

1 pc. Cons, IMO! Cutting the site window without destroying saw blades. Getting the riser fitted just right for good glue lines and alignment. One mistake can trash the whole bow instead of a "1 of 3" scenario.

Yikes there that horn hat again.  :bigsmyl:  Three piece limbs are easier to glue up. The bolt inserts and bezels may be over priced. One of the things I have done on one piece is riser profile jigs for the front and belly (fade) Dont need to fit each riser everytime. TD easier to spray  :dunno:

3 pc takes more time for me . If I made a long form with a limb on both ends and just butted a limb on each end to a pin in center it would take one step out. But you still have the drilling and limb alignment to deal with so there is just more steps to take care of.

I can actually do them in about the same amount of time. But I have 2 identical forms so I can glue up both limbs at the same time.
I always foot my risers so 1 or 3 piece is about the same amount of time. When I glue up the limbs I can drill and glue in inserts on my 3 piece. It takes me about the same amount of time to mount and align the limbs on a three piece as it does to check alignment and layout on a one piece. Without that extra form and streamlining the process it definitely takes longer on a 3 piece imo

Thanks...  Some valid points guys...  I think I will charge a bit more for the 3pc...  Being that there is hardware involved and I think it takes a little more time than a 1 pc...

Roy...  You ever make a 3pc. all-wood bow???
