ILF Limb Questions
« on: November 04, 2019, 04:03:32 PM »
I am thinking of buying an ILF bow.  Either a 17" or 19" riser.

I saw the chart that was posted for riser and limb combinations for a recurve.

Is there a similar chart for longbows or is the answer always just one limb length longer?

Also as you mix and match limbs, is there a limb rating standard - riser length?
i.e. If I buy 40# limbs, are they 40# at 17" riser?  What are they at 19"?

Thanks

Rule of thumb, 40# on a 17 will be 2# less on a 19. Add 2# on a 15” riser. But a lot depends on the risers limb pocket angles. But it’s close.....
