I have owned both in the ironwood versions.  The PMA was noticeably heavier, but I shot both equally well.  I now opt for the PSA cause I can get a shorter overall bow for my draw length...Mike

If you hold the bow vertical without any cant, I'd get the PMA/ bigger sight window. If you cant the bow , the PSA will be just as good..

Ive shot both and have to agree on this statement.

MA is much heavier and depending on what your prefere weight wise is how you should choose.

I cant and gap shoot so I went for the PSA ironwood which has just arrived going to pick it up now.  Pics will be up tomorrow!

I'll chime in for the PMA and I don't use sights. BW will tell you that if you shoot in open country without a lot of brush or tree limbs go with the PMA. If you are shooting in tighter quarters, go with the PSA. I chose my PMA over the PSA for that very reason, as well as the fact that its (PMA) draw was smooth and consistent. Both are great. Shoot each before making your decision. By the way mine is a PMA-V, 62", 55@29.

I have both and naturally gravitate towards the pma.  I like the larger riser because of the increased sight window.  I also like the extra mass.

I have both, but find the added mass and weight of the MA more stable and accurate, therefore more beneficial for me.

Here's my MAX cocobolo:

I've owned both. I have the SA now and sold the MA. I beleive I shot the MA a little better but I like the smaller feel of the SA riser.
I gap shoot and hold my bow somewhat vertical and dont have a problem with the shorter SA sight window.

I draw 30" and have a 60" SAII and a 62" MAIII. The length of the "working" limb is different between the two models with the SA have a longer working limb and shorter riser and the MA a shorter working limb with a longer riser. For me the MA is smoother and more comfortable to shoot at a longer length. I had a 62" SA which I sold because it was too long for me, from a treestand when shooting at steeper angles the lower part of the string would bump against my torso. The MA in 62" doesn't. If you want a longer bow go PMA, shorter PSA. Most of the posts above mention more mass weight with the PMA. My MA is a 1997 model without phenolic so it's lighter than the SA I have.

Shot both and prefer the PSA.  Have a friend that prefers the PMA.  He is taller than me, don't know if that makes a difference to him.  For me it was the PSA that felt better, maybe because I'm short - LOL.  I find that both the PSA and PMA have sufficient mass for me to shoot well.  Also I prefer a shorter bow because I hunt thick woods.  Your situation may be different.

I've owned several of both and prefer the PMA but only slightly, I'd be content with either.  Both are great shooters. My favorite has been the PMA 64"er, silky smooth and dead accurate if I do my part. I'm in open country so the length is no problem.
